BPHA Membership Benefits

BPHA membership benefits all of our neighbourhood residents!  Keeping the association strong keeps our neighbourhood strong. We all benefit in terms of quality of life, safety of our surroundings, financial value of our homes and general well-being that comes from the knowledge that neighbours are looking out for neighbours here in Beechwood Park! The camaraderie of social events; the use of recreational facilities; and readiness to respond as one voice to city issues are just a few of the benefits the association brings to the neighbourhood. Joining is not simply a matter of whether or not you swim or play tennis, travel to a cottage, or if the "kids have grown-up".... Joining is a matter of investing in your community and in your property value!

The recreation centre is a great place to meet your neighbours and get some exercise too. Tennis courts open in early spring just as soon as the snow is gone and sometimes before that!  Summer activities include much more than swim and tennis lessons; there are also daily arts and crafts or sports for the children; weekly special events; evening lane swims for the adults (extraordinary under a full moon); and many other events. Bring your kids or grandkids to enjoy the morning swim and tennis lessons during July and August, then stay for activities and free swimming all afternoon. The social committee stays busy organizing events throughout the year such as the Opening Day BBQ and plenty of family BBQs throughout the summer, the June Adult Patio Party, Adult Summer Social, Holiday Cheer & Cookie Exchange and winter activities for the whole family. All this is available to you when you join BPHA, and that’s before considering how much the BPHA adds to the value of all our homes.

Our goal is to keep fees reasonable and membership within our local area as much as possible. We strive to make the association relevant to everyone in the neighbourhood and the Volunteer Board of Directors welcomes your feedback, your ideas and your involvement. We welcome new members!  Please email info@bpha.ca to get involved.

We have something fun for everyone!

Year-round social events for everyone: whether you are a young family, a single person or an empty nester, we are sure there is something that will appeal to your sense of fun and entertainment!

Well-maintained facilities: swimming pool, two tennis courts with lighting, and a large gazebo ideal for birthday parties and picnics. Outdoor recreation for the whole family!

Lessons:  Youth Tennis and Swimming Lessons, both group and private lessons available.

Sports and Social Activities: From the first signs of spring to the last signs of autumn, we have various activities for all.  Family BBQs, Themed events, Tennis Round Robins and Water Polo just to name a few.

A strong political voice in municipal affairs and community issues to maintain and improve the beauty and integrity of our neighbourhood – examples include the 8-year Clair Lake Rehabilitation Project and recent support for the Beechwood Park Refugee Group.

All residents of Beechwood Park are eligible to join as local members and neighbourhood grandparents may sign-up visiting children and grandchildren as part of their membership! Our 2024 Local Membership fees are $525.00 and we strive to keep any additional fees for tennis, swim and events as low as possible.
